This question has been asked a thousand times and will be asked 1000 more without a single doubt. Everyone always wants to know where to find a coin. Well there are so many places to find coins out there how you possibly know where to even begin? Well you can search through 20,000 listings on eBay, which of course is mind numbing. You could search Google and find board after board. However, we can only point you in the direction of the U.S. Challenge Coin Forum or Challenge Coin Trading. These two places can be a wealth of knowledge and come highly recommended. Read the rest of this entry »

We want to show off an outstanding coin coming from the USS Reagan. They are out as we speaking doing great things around the world and they brought in another solid collectible coin. At 2″ in diameter this thing is big. This coin is detailed through 2D and 3D work. We couldn’t just keep this one to ourselves and we know the challenge coin minters that helped this unit make this are thrilled as well and they should be. Sometimes a unit doesn’t have the right budget and sometimes they don’t have the right ideas but in this case neither of those issues apply. They brought one of the sickest skulls with flames and put it on the coin. Read the rest of this entry »

Guys we need to get some help out to a new site. MilBid.com is coming out as an auction site that desperately needs some Navy presence buying and selling. These guys are willing to cut their profit and send units some money for morale as they take in funds through donations and other things. Everyone knows it’s rare to get that commitment recipricated as we spend tons of time donating ourselves to the community. This is an awesome time to have a site donate back to us.
If you have a chance we ask that you swing over there and help these guys spread the word. This could be the biggest thing coming out for all of us in a long time. We have checked it out and are truly digging what is coming up. Come on guys, let’s get on this one!

So far in 2008 we have seen the U.S. Navy take a huge leap in making new coins that blow so many others away. The Navy might be trying to get the other branches to take notice as they scream by with some of the true treasure in 2008. Keep an eye out on sites like U.S. Challenge Coins as they are producing some of the most intense coins we have seen so far. Other companies are not putting out as many uniques but they are coming. If you are Navy and have some great coins, then don’t hesitate to let us know so we can put those out for other collector’s to see.
If you are making coins let us know so we can help you get them reasonably and by a good company. Stay away from the high priced ones out there. We will try to get additional information on the site so you can have the right information for what you are looking for. We are also looking for guest writers in this area. If you fit the bill let us know. We love Navy coins and we know you do to. We will be posting some of the newest coins on the market in the next week so you can see what we are talking about.

You heard right. CCA.com or Challenge Coin Auctions .com has come out to give sellers of challenge coins a new way to earn money by cutting listing fees and sharing some great traffic with collector’s around the world. This is going to be the rage of selling and buying in a hobby that has exploded. eBay has grown so big that you get lost in the crap they have listed all over their site. Having a slimmed down version that specifically addresses challenge coins is an enormous advantage.
U.S. Challenge Coins .com collaborated with this project to bring something new to the niche of challenge coins. If you are ready to start selling at 1/5 the price eBay charges then you need to check out the auction block and spread the word.

Speaking of great Navy coins, check out this custom coin that was done in humor for the NMCB-15. This monster 2″ coin is a thing of beauty. U.S. Challenge Coins .com released it a few months ago. The coin was finished in a high polished Nickel with some added micro sandblasting. This covers Operation Secret Squirrel for those that deployed to some secret locations around the world to build stuff.
Now this is a more extreme coin for collector’s and I think only parts of the hobbyist would enjoy this coin, but if it’s something up your alley you should check things out.

Well this is us, and we love challenge coin collecting as much as any other veteran. We opened up shop just to give you some great stuff to read. This blog will grow and grow and you will have the reason to keep coming back. Heck, you might one day decide you want to contribute here as well. We are open to suggestions and topics that you want to hear about. It doesn’t have to be just Navy coins but we would like to stay mostly on topic since that is what the website is all about.
